Congrats to our February Adult Education Student of the Month, McKayla Vickers. Vickers is enrolled in the adult Dental Assisting program. She graduated from Sandy Valley High School and works at Sandy Valley Dental Care. Vickers’ instructor, Crystal Polen, nominated her for the honor. “McKayla is always eager to help her peers. She comes to class well prepared and is always eager to learn,” she said. Upon graduation, Vickers wants to remain in the dental field and eventually continue her education to become a dental hygienist.

Congrats to our second February Student of the Month, Computer Technology senior Kaiden Pack. Pack attends BCC from Strasburg. He works at Hennis Care Center and volunteers at the Bolivar branch of the Tuscarawas County Public Library. At BCC, Pack is a member of Business Professionals of America and placed fourth nationally in 2025 in computer networking. He has also qualified for this year’s state BPA competition. Additionally, Pack is a member of the National Technical Honor Society. Pack’s Computer Technology instructor, Mr. Bill Alexander, nominated him for the honor. “Kaiden is one of the top students in my class. He has earned a variety of advanced certifications and has a goal to study cybersecurity in college,” said Alexander. Following graduation, Pack plans to attend Kent State University and major in cybersecurity. He is the son of Jenny and Martin Carr.

Congrats to our first February Student of the Month, Zoe Jump! Jump attends BCC from Garaway and is enrolled in our Exercise Science program. She has played softball for the last four years in high school, but for a total of 19 years. At BCC, she is the HOSA Future Health Professionals chapter president, is a 2026 HOSA state qualifier, competed at the international HOSA competition in 2025, and is in the National Technical Honor Society. Jump attends Mercy Hill Church, where she is a Sunday school teacher. Jump has also traveled to Guatemala City, Guatemala, five times to work at Casa Bernabe Children’s Home, while also helping other missions’ teams prepare for similar travel. Jump’s Exercise Science instructor, Mr. Jamie Harlan nominated her for the honor. “Zoe is an impressive communicator and leader in our lab. She has grown tremendously since entering BCC last year. She always has the “success for all” attitude and is very deserving of this honor,” commented Harlan. Following graduation, Jump will attend Walsh University to major in Exercise Science with a psychology minor. She plans to earn a doctorate in occupational therapy and wants to help special needs children. Jump is the daughter of Josh and Jen Jump.
