Our own Exercise Science senior, Carsen Hostetler of Indian Valley, was honored this week to receive a letter of commendation from Ohio Auditor of State Keith Faber! The letter recognizes Carsen and his 2026 OHSAA Division III State Track and Field championship in the 300-meter hurdles! We are #BuckeyeProud of Carsen!

Our level one Construction Technology students have completed one of their first projects of the year, building their own birdhouses! This project gave students a chance to put their new skills to the test and see their hard work come together!

We captured our annual "All-School Photo" this morning under a gorgeous blue sky! This is the look from ground-level of over 1,000 students and staff! We are excited to see what Denny from Solid Rock captured from the lift, high above the group! #BuckeyeProud!
Our level two Medical Assisting students practiced checking in and rooming patients yesterday. They took advantage of the space offered by our medical clinic, which was built as part of our medical facility expansion last year! Students greeted patients at the front desk, walked them to exam rooms, and confirmed personal information with each patient. #BuckeyeProud!

Beckett, of Dennison, graduated from Quaker Digital Academy and works at Park Village Healthcare. Three years ago, Beckett wanted to enroll in the program but says she never had the chance. She is excited to finally be enrolled in the course. Beckett’s Esthetics instructor, Ms. Tabitha Eideh, nominated her for the recognition. “Cadence goes the extra mile when conducting demonstrations. She shows great initiative,” said Eideh. Upon graduation, Beckett plans to save her money, gain experience, and eventually start her own esthetics business. She will be honored at this evening's Board of Education meeting!

Baranack attends BCC from New Philadelphia. At BCC, he is involved in SkillsUSA, and outside of school, he works at Sifferlin’s Pet Center. Baranack was nominated for the honor by his Construction Technology instructor, Mr. Brandon Begue. “Bryce is a leader among his classmates and can always be counted on to stay on task and complete his assigned work. He takes pride in doing things correctly,” commented Begue. Upon graduation, Baranack hopes to work in the construction field. He is the son of Abby Baranack. He will be honored at this evening's Board of Education meeting!

Benningfield’s Hospitality instructors Mrs. Beans and Mrs. Young nominated her for the honor. “Amanda comes to school with a smile on her face every day. She encourages and helps her classmates with a willing heart,” commented Beans and Young. Following graduation, Benningfield hopes to take fire and EMS courses at BCC through the Adult Education department while continuing to work in food service.
