FCCLA members contributed to the Sew Powerful organization, which encourages individuals to create handmade purses that are sent to Zambia. A total of 28 purses were donated. In addition, many students wrote encouraging notes to be placed inside each purse. This initiative is one of Sew Powerful’s efforts to support Zambian communities, particularly by helping girls remain in school.

“One of the smartest decisions you’ll ever make in your life is walking away from chaos that you never should’ve engaged in the first place. Not every battle is yours. Not every mess is worth fixing. Protect your peace, and let fools play their game.”
