Partner School Adult Education Scholarship
Institutional aid is also available in the form of scholarships to one graduating Senior from each of the eleven school districts that make-up Buckeye Career Center, by completing an application and attaching three letters of recommendation.
Full-time programs at Buckeye Career Center Adult Education are accredited by the Council on Occupational Education. This accreditation enables us to participate in Title IV federal financial aid programs administered by the U.S. Department of Education. To apply for the federal Pell Grant, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to find out if you qualify.

Friends of Adult Education Erin VanFossen Scholarship
The Friends of Adult Education Erin VanFossen Scholarship was created to assist adult students in Buckeye Career Center’s Full-Time Programs and remove financial barriers.
The Peggy and John Stratton (Next Chance) Industry and Trades Scholarship
The Peggy and John Stratton Industry and Trades Scholarship is intended for adult students, enrolled in Buckeye Career Center adult education programs, to help them continue the process of gaining skills that will help them start or advance in the field they have chosen to pursue, specifically in the fields related to manufacturing, industry, trades, or safety services.
MWCD Law Enforcement Scholarship
The Friends of Adult Education MWCD Law Enforcement Scholarship was created to assist adult students in Buckeye Career Center’s Law Enforcement Training Academy and remove financial barriers.
Talent Ready Grant
The Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) has awarded Buckeye Career Center funds under the TALENT READY GRANT PROGRAM to provide direct financial grants to help cover the cost of tuition and fees for students enrolled in certificate programs to meet the needs of our Regional businesses and industries.
This grant is designed to support students participating in a program that will lead to earning a certificate through classes that are less than 30 credit hours, or 900 seat hours, and that can be completed in less than one year while providing funding up to $3000 for a credential class. These grants are part of a program which has limited funds that will be awarded until funds are exhausted. THIS IS NOT A NEED BASED GRANT.
To be considered, interested students must:
* Be an Ohio resident.
* Registered with Selective Service if a male 18-26 years old
* Submit the Talent Ready Grant Application either online or via this form
* Enroll in one of the certificates listed below at Buckeye Career Center.
Work Ready Grant
The Ohio Work Ready Grant provides funding to Ohio residents who demonstrate the highest levels of financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Eligible students must be enrolled in a qualified program at an Ohio community, state community, or technical college, an Ohio Technical Center, or a state university branch campus.
Ohio residents who have completed a FAFSA with an Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) of $3,750 or less and who are enrolled in a qualified program at an eligible institution, which includes Buckeye Career Center.
After completing the FAFSA, apply for the Work Ready Grant by submitting this form.
Students must be enrolled in a qualified program. This is defined as a credit or noncredit program that leads to an industry-recognized credential, certificate, or degree and prepares the student for a job that is identified as “in-demand” or “critical” as determined by the Office of Workforce Transformation or is submitted by a community, state community, or technical college, an Ohio technical center, or a state university branch campus and will meet regional workforce needs, as approved by the chancellor.
What is the Horatio Alger CTE Scholarship? This scholarship can award you up to $2,500 to pursue a career certification or technical education, of your choice, at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States.
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities
All eligible college and nontraditional students with disabilities can receive funds while participating in OOD services, to be used for tuition or educational expenses during the current term. This includes students with physical, hearing, vision, learning, mental health, and sensory disabilities who are participating in colleges, trade schools, apprenticeships, and credentialing programs. These are funds only for individuals with disabilities receiving OOD services that are in addition to any scholarship funds students may be receiving.
