Masonry open house

New Philadelphia, OH (March 18, 2025) – Buckeye Career Center invites prospective students, families, alumni, and community members to explore its programs and campus during its annual Spring Open House. The event will take place on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 5:30-7:30pm at Buckeye Career Center in New Philadelphia. The event will highlight both high school and adult education programs.

Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the facility, meet instructors, and learn about the 34 high school programs available for the upcoming school year and 10 full-time Adult Education programs, in addition to part-time career enhancement options, and the Adult Diploma Program (ADP). A representative from Ohio Means Jobs will also be present.

“We have found that our spring open house provides a great opportunity for high school students to get another look at BCC and the programs we provide. Typically, applications for next school year are heavy in the fall after sophomore visitation days, so the spring event is almost like a second look for those who have not applied yet,” stated Marketing Coordinator Shyanne Carroll. “We also invite adult learners to visit and find out about our upcoming courses for the next school year.”

In addition to the open house activities for prospective students, alumni, and former staff are invited to reconnect in the Joe Carlisle Marketplace. Attendees can flip through scrapbooks and yearbooks from years gone by while enjoying light refreshments.

All guests can enjoy a complimentary meal and enter the door prize drawing, while high school students who apply for the 2025-26 school year will receive a small gift. Adult Education students who apply for a full-time program will have their $50 application fee waived.

The event is free and open to the public, with no advanced registration required. Visitors should enter through the main entrance and sign in at the cafeteria.

Buckeye Career Center is located at 545 University Drive, NE, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
