New Philadelphia, OH (February 5, 2025) – Members of Buckeye Career Center’s SkillsUSA chapter have qualified for the Ohio SkillsUSA State Championships as the result of qualifying performances at regionals.

First-place earners include Anthoni Watson (Graphic Arts/Tusky Valley) in Photography and Karson Ronald (Electrical Systems Technology & HVAC-R/Claymont) in Industrial Motor Control.

Second-place winners include Tucker Stanley (Auto Collision/BCC) in Collision Repair, Layla Troyer (Cosmetology & Business & Marketing/Hiland) in Cosmetology, Savannah Powell (Law Enforcement & Fire & EMS/Strasburg) in First Aid/CPR, and Madison Jasper (Cosmetology & Dental Assisting/Tusky Valley) in Nail Care.

Third-place recipients include Dawson Shivers (Electrical Systems & Utility Lineworker/Indian Valley) in Electrical Construction Wiring, McKenna Cooper (Electrical Systems Technology & Business & Marketing/Dover) in Industrial Motor Control, and the team of Zac Douglas (Energy Operations and Construction/Claymont), Easton Pope (Electrical Systems Technology/Garaway), Lukas Jones (Construction/Tusky Valley), and Braylon Windsor (Construction/Dover) in Team Works.

Fourth-place winners include Austin Sole (Auto Collision/New Phila) in Automotive Refinishing, Anne Reineke (Law Enforcement & Fire & EMS/ Dover) in Criminal Justice, Landon Jenkins (Graphic Arts/New Phila) in Photography, and Kolton Smith (Electrical Systems Technology & HVAC-R/Indian Valley) in Industrial Motor Control.

Several other BCC SkillsUSA members have or will earn a direct bid to state in a competition that has no regional qualifying contest. The Ohio SkillsUSA State Championships will be held March 18-19, 2025 in Columbus.
