Program Quick Facts

Medical Assisting students must be able to:

  • Read, comprehend, and follow textbook instructions
  • Perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages)
  • Have good communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Work independently
  • Operate a computer to complete assignments on a daily basis

Uniform requirements

  • Students will be required to dress in clean, wrinkle-free, uniforms Monday through Friday, ALL DAY.
  • Uniform pants will consist of black scrub pants (any brand, any retailer).
  • Uniform tops must be scrub tops that match the pants (May be print, Must be professional, No camo).
  • Students may wear a scrub jacket or lab coat, either white or black.
  • Students must have clean, all black or all white nurse or gym-type shoes (designated for in-school-use only).
  • Students must wear socks.
  • Students must order The Medical Assisting Class Fleece Jacket (to be ordered in September).
