Buckeye Career Center offers the official, computer-based GED test on-site at the school's testing center. Prior to testing, adult students need to set up a personalized account and register for the test through GED.com. The personal GED page is also where students can pay for and take the "GED Ready" practice tests in each of the four subjects (Math, Reasoning Through Language Arts, Science, Social Studies), as well as view test results with same-day scoring.
Enrolled ABLE/GED students qualify for free practice test vouchers following applicable progress in their class and TABE assessment levels. For the test itself, a state GED voucher is available (follow the instructions on GED.com) that reduces the cost of the test from $120 total ($30 per subject) to $40 total ($10 per subject). Most students take the current GED test - which debuted in 2014 - one or two subjects at a time.
The Testing Center Coordinator at BCC is John Barr, and he can be reached at 330-308-5720, ext. 1562, or email@example.com.
